hi. here’s a lyric video for my brand new song “take your time” (available here on itunes). i was having a long talk with a friend whose mom was fighting cancer, and later that night the lyrics to this song just kind of… happened. a lot of friends of mine having been suffering through illness and loss in their families recently, and it’s hard to know what to say sometimes. this is for all of those friends.
this song kind of feels like the end of an era, a coda for a style of songwriting i’ve done for a while. now off to start writing a new record and excited to see what comes next.
